Ready for Summer
Summer is almost here — can you feel it?
Ocean views linger in the fading light until almost 9:00, roadside stands are rapidly filling with produce fresh from the fields, and I’m dreaming of lobster rolls, wild blueberries, summer blooms, and time spent with family and friends.
While I’m taking a little break from new content this week, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite posts from summers past. These stories capture the simple joys and special places that make this season in Maine so magical.
Whether you’re planning a visit or just savoring Maine summers from afar, these posts will inspire your own warm-weather dreams!

Amy
Hi Amy — And we did it again this year! It was so great to have you here for an extended stay this time!
Loved taking a stroll through memory lane of some of your posts from the past. Mc Loon’s is definitely a place I would love to visit. Their lobster rolls look delicious. I like the fact that they are no frills, predominantly just lobster. I never knew that blueberry fields were called barrens. I learn something new every time I read your posts. Your home is just a treat to view, always a highlight of my week. Saturday mornings are spent with a cup of coffee and reading Molly in Maine. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. As always thank you for sharing life on the Maine coast.
Hi Suzie — Thank you for making me a part of you Saturday morning! Yes, the best lobster rolls just let the fresh lobster shine. I usually learn something when I write my blog posts too! Have a lovely week!
As ever your home is so inviting….if you mentioned source for rechargeable lamps I missed it. Could you be so kind to name source and the shades as well. Thank you
Hi Linda — The lamps are from Amazon and the shades are from Serena & Lily. I linked them both in a post last summer.
You are so incredibly lucky to have all that. it’s so beautiful. My family once tried living on the coast of New England and they are precious memories.
Hi Elizabeth — I am certainly blessed to live in such a beautiful spot. I am grateful for it every day!
Enjoyed the look back, Molly! How wonderful it must be to live in a land of summer magic. xo
Hi Juliet — Maine’s motto is “The Way Life Should Be”, and it certainly does feel that way this time of year!
